Most common MTD chipper shredder parts that need replacing
- Engine air filter. The engine air filter cleans the air entering the carburetor. Replace the air filter periodically, following the guidelines in the owner's manual.
- Carburetor. The engine carburetor mixes air and gas before the fuel mix goes to the cylinder for combustion.
- Recoil starter. The recoil starter spins the crankshaft to start the engine when you pull the rope.
- Engine gasket set. The engine gasket set includes all of the seals and gaskets for the engine on your chipper/shredder. Replace any gaskets that are damaged or leaking.
