Tightening the cables on your Weslo weight machine
- Cables stretch over time so inspect the slack in all weight machine resistance cables before using the weight machine each time.
- Tighten any loose cables to eliminate slack before using the weight machine. Don't overtighten the cables.
- To tighten cables that use a bolt and locknut adjustment, slide the cable stop away from the cable clip. Use a pair of pliers or a screwdriver to tighten the locknut on the bolt that goes into the cable clip to shorten the cable and remove slack. Slide the cable stop against the cable clip.
- To remove slack from a cable with adjustable sets of holds in a U-bracket, remove the nut and bolt that hold the adjustable cable pulley in place and move the bolt up to hold the pulley in a higher set of holes to remove cable slack. Reinstall the nut and tighten it firmly to hold the bolt and pulley in place.
What to do when the console won't power up on your Weslo elliptical exercise machine
Dead batteries, a failed power supply, bad electrical connections or a faulty console can prevent the elliptical console from turning on. If your elliptical is powered by batteries, change the batteries to fix a dead console. Replace the batteries during routine elliptical maintenance to keep the console powered up. If the console doesn't light up after replacing the batteries, you'll likely need to replace the console.
If your elliptical uses an electrical outlet for the power supply, unplug the elliptical and check the power cord. Reconnect power cord wires if disconnected. Replace the power cord if it's damaged. If the power cord is intact and properly connected to the console, then you'll probably need to replace the console.
