It was a range surface burner knob, much like the other knobs on the stove. In fact it was identical. When it was put on the valve stem and turned, the burner came on. it fit the valve stem snugly, but not too snugly. I am satisfied with the item.

Installation was quite simple. I bought these for my mom kitchen and she loved them. They were very hard to find, even the manufacturer was saying they did not carried them but Sears did. The only bad was that they took over two months to deliver.

The product was exactly as ordered and arrived in a timely fashion. I gave three stars instead of five because of the way I was lured into Sears with the offer of 10% off that never materialized.
