Great to find the part I need

My dishwasher would occasionally "get stuck" in a cycle and run continuously. Several online solutions called for "resetting" the control board using various methods. The most effective seemed to be shutting off the breaker for 5 min or longer. That would allow my dw to run one cycle correctly, but then it would be unpredictable. So, the fix was to replace the control board. Earlier, I had replaced the front cover with a stainless one to match other new kitchen appliances, so accessing the cb was not new to me. I was pleased to find the control board at Sears Parts. The price was pretty reasonable-certainly less than a new dishwasher. The part arrived quickly. Replacing the cb took about an hour. Not too bad. Now I can start the dishwasher prior to bedtime without worrying that it will still be running the next morning.

Simple but not easy

The control module I ordered was exactly what I received. A one-for-one swap out. I haven't been able to test it yet, though, as I'm having problems procuring a correct soap dispenser replacement and the hole in the inner door panel would allow water to intrude to places it ought not be present. A T15 torx driver and jewelers flat screwdriver were all the tools needed. A bit of patience and attention to how the original was installed is needed to keep from breaking slot tabs or the plastic connector securing devices - for which the small flat screwdriver makes removing without damage easier.
