Only took a few minutes, be careful to not damage the plastic frame where the hinge pins attach on the new lid. Sears gets two thumbs up, can't say the same for Maytag. This washer is only a few months old. The lid is beautiful, but framing the tempered glass with cheesy plastic at an obvious stress point has shot Maytag's long reputation for quality and durability - at least in my view. I am recommending the part since I'm not likely to be the only one needing one. The cost of the lid is approx 1/3 what we paid for the entire machine. If it breaks again we'll be buying a different brand.
